Mon avis : 

Brigid Kemmerer a définitivement gagné mon affection avec que j'ai lu ses deux romans traduits en français : PS tu me manques et PS je ne t'ai jamais dit. 

Lorsque j'ai découvert ce roman en VO, je n'ai pas pu résister. 

Honnêtement, je ne m'inquiétais pas trop de savoir si j'allais aimer ou non. Et j'ai eu raison. Bien sûr, à nouveau, l'auteure m'a embarquée dans son histoire, m'a présenté des personnages auxquels je me suis attachée. 

Rob, Meagan, Owen Samantha, Connor... Tous ces personnages sont tellement consistants, complexes, nuancés. J'ai aimé les suivre, être d'accord puis en désaccord avec eux. Cela renvoie finalement à toute cette part de complexité mais aussi de contradiction que l'on a en chacun de nous. 

J'ai été surprise plus d'une fois par les tournures choisies par l'auteure, j'ai aimé les sujets qui sont traités. Parfois lourds, mais vraiment bien amenés. 

La plume est belle, efficace, immersive et sensible. Elle nous plonge au cœur des sentiments de ses personnages. 

Il ne me reste plus à présent qu'à plonger dans la saga fantasy de l'auteure !
